Congratulations to ALL the Verve Cup Racers!

What do you get when you combine eight races over three days; varied wind & sea conditions with 149 boats?   The VERVE CUP of course!

This past weekend 29 Beneteau Owner's competed in the annual Chicago Yacht Club Verve Cup on Lake Michigan.  Beneteau- The number one Manufacturer of boats worldwide was well represented by the sixteen boat First 36.7 fleet, eleven boat First 40.7 fleet and two cruising boats that entered the distance race on Saturday.  The only other brand better represented than Beneteau was the 32 boat T-10 class (that is no longer in production).

The weekend weather ranged from light breeze/glassy water conditions to gusts of up to 20 kts and lumpy sea conditions.

In the end as the race results showed, the top First 36.7 spot went to Peter Wright's "Maggie Mae" and number one First 40.7 was Ron Buzil's 'Vayu'.
